Great Langdale

Even though it was winter, we decided to take a break in the Lake District and enjoy some of the wonderful scenery there. This is a picture from our walk around Great Langdale (YHA).

We decided to leave the car and took the train, staying at the excellent Ambleside Youth Hostel. Although it was cold and a bit wet, got around and managed to get plenty of walking in, some good food and even managed to get to the cinema.

We enjoyed some great food and can highly recommend the Jintana Thai Restaurant in Ambleside (website). Everything was halal so were free to choose what we wanted. We also watched the inspiring Eagle Huntress (IMDb). It tells the story of thirteen-year-old Aisholpan as she trains to become an eagle huntress, the first female in twelve generations of her Kazakh family.
